Ludus.is – About Us
Ludus.is is a sportswear and swimwear store in downtown Reykjavík, Iceland, operated by Lúdus ehf. The company was established in November 2020 and began trading online in April 2021.
Our journey began when we discovered the activewear brand SQUATWOLF. We contacted the company, and that was the start of our adventure.
The meaning of Ludus
The name Ludus comes from Latin and has several meanings related to play, games, sport and training. It is also closely related to the word Ludo, which most Icelanders recognise.
What we stand for
Fast delivery
Before founding Lúdus, we experienced a three-week wait for an online sports equipment order that arrived too late to be given as a Christmas gift. That experience showed us how much better online fulfilment and customer service could be.
We therefore place great emphasis on fast delivery and hand orders to our shipping partners on the next business day. During exceptionally busy periods, we contact customers promptly if a delay is expected.

We aim to offer competitive prices compared with ordering the same products directly from abroad, while providing much faster delivery in Iceland.
